Since 1976, we have held biennial reunions in metropolitan areas across the United States, from Washington D.C to Long Beach, CA.

It was the vision of the late Harvey J.F. Reynolds, whose mission was to unite the geographically scattered and large Reynolds and Claytor families. Reynolds developed this vision after gathering documentation of the numerous marriages between the two families. He was helped in this mission by the late Dorcus Claytor.

Our History

Our family is able to trace its lineage back to the slave plantations in Virginia, owned by immigrants from England. Many of the slaves from the Claytor plantation married slaves from the Reynolds Plantation. There was also quite a bit of miscegenation with the slave master and mixing with the Native Americans in the area, according to the family's history book, the Virginia Kaleidoscope.

After the end of the slavery, our family moved for work to places like West Virginia, Cleveland, Chicago, Atlanta, California, and Washington DC.
